Bullhead City - A man walked though the mobile home on Larkwood Avenue where earlier in the day he allegedly killed his wife and mother-in-law in a fit of rage. Bullhead City Police arrested Ari Benjamin Feinner, 43, Tuesday 4/3 at around 4:00 p.m. Officers said he was cooperative in the investigation, but had attempted to leave the residence where police believe he fatally stabbed his wife, Veronica Feinner, 27, and his mother-in-law, Marie Zavala, 67, whose bodies remained in the house. He was charged with two counts of murder and taken to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office jail. He is being held without bail. Officers said that Tuesday morning Feinner had argued with his wife about her intent to file for divorce. He grabbed a hunting knife and stabbed her repeatedly. When Zavala, who was wheelchair-bound, attempted to intervene, he stabbed her several times. Then Feinner killed the family dogs, two Chihuahuas who were reportedly making noise. He then reportedly telephoned his sister at work and told her what he had done. She called police. "This is particularly disturbing knowing that a mother saw the death of her daughter before she herself was killed,” police said. "The use of a knife and the manner of the stabbing are also indicative of a crime of passion." Previous police reports suggests Feinner was prone to violence. In 2002 Feinner was arrested on suspicion of running over a man who suffered a serious ankle injury as a result. He was found guilty of aggravated assault. In 2004 he was arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly hitting his then-girlfriend.
